High-Protein Whipped Coffee 2 Ways

Whipped coffee has been trending throughout lockdown — here’s how to make a high-protein version.

By now, you’re probably very familiar with the sight of whipped coffee, right? The swirled, stiff peaks were literally made for Instagram. The trend actually began in South Korea as a way for people to virtually connect, but then (like all good things at the moment) it made its way on onto TikTok and the rest is history.

It’s an amazingly light & creamy way to enjoy your caffeine hit, perfect for when we’re actually blessed with some summer sun, too.

Of course, we couldn’t miss out on the chance to make this super-refreshing drink a delicious protein boost at the same time. Whipped coffee is a match made in heaven for a protein shake base — especially when our Impact Whey Protein comes in incredible flavours like Iced Latte, or even just plain old Vanilla.

If you’re trying to cut down on caffeine, don’t worry — we’ve got you covered as well. Try switching out the coffee for a scoop of our Matcha Latte protein powder instead. You’ll be transported back to pre-lockdown memories of spending mornings in Starbucks, trust us.

1. Iced Latte Whipped Coffee

Ingredients

iced latte whipped coffee

Method

1) In a small bowl, add the coffee, sugar, and hot water and then use an electric whisk or a hand whisk to whip the ingredients together until you get a smooth, frothy mix that can hold a stiff peak.

2) Next, add any milk of your choice to a shaker along with a scoop of whey protein. Shake well so that you have a smooth, lump-free protein shake.

3) Then pour your protein shake into a glass filled with ice cubes and spoon your whipped coffee mixture on top. Enjoy!
