World’s Strongest Brothers Demolish 6-Course Breakfast

The Stoltmans, AKA the World’s Strongest Brothers, are no strangers to eating a lot of food. Kushi, Luke Stoltman’s wife, has previously lifted the lid on what it takes to feed a strongman. It’s basically a full-time job.

In the runup to a competition, they’ve been known to eat five or six huge meals a day. But in this video, they had that for breakfast. Literally.

To celebrate the opening of Hillhead Café, a new breakfast spot run by Michelin-trained chefs in Inverness, the brothers visited to explore the menu. And the only proper way to test out a new place? Order everything. Obviously.

For the first course, a summer breakfast bowl. This is the last thing I'd have expected to see two meat-loving strongmen order.

The granola, yoghurt, berries and lemon curd arrived in tiny bowls. And they made short work of it, polishing it all off in a few mouthfuls. Luke’s moans were a telltale sign he was loving it.

Next up, American-style buttermilk pancakes. Just the thought had the brothers salivating. So, you can imagine the excitement when it arrived. Streaky bacon, soured cream, blueberries and maple syrup stacked high. It was so good Luke licked his plate clean.

And the meal to take them to the halfway line? Smoked salmon, avocado puree and poached eggs. Luke got lucky with a double serving of salmon, as Tom doesn’t eat fish and eggs together. Jackpot. You can never have too much omega-3.

The fourth course was the headliner. The Tornagrain. Bacon, sausage, egg, tomato, black pudding and mushroom. Any normal person wouldn’t have much room left after putting this away. But for the Stoltmans this is basically an appetiser.

Every good menu needs a vegan option or two. It’s not their usual scene, but the brothers thought they’d give it a go. And they were glad they did. Vegan halloumi, avocado, tomato, vegan haggis and some very spicy beans. “I think the vegans are gonna love this”, said Tom.

And last but certainly not least, the breakfast sharing platter. The pièce de resistance. Strawberry overnight oats, pancakes with streaky bacon, and granola bars with raspberries.

Take home message

After a staggering six courses the brothers weren’t as full as you’d expect. I’d need a lie down after eating that much, but it’s a standard day at the office for Tom and Luke. Luke enjoyed the pancakes the most, and Tom couldn’t choose between the breakfast bowl and pancakes. Regardless, it’s safe to say they enjoyed it.
