MattDoesFitness Talks Career Regrets, Embarrassing Gym Moments & Dealing with Trolls
Did you ever imagine your following would grow this big?
Matt went for a heavy question here and reflects on his weird and wonderful journey from triple jumper, to PE teacher, to social media star.
“I started YouTube just as something to do. I was a triple jumper and I got injured so I couldn’t do anything so I had a big gaping hole in my life. So, I started YouTube just to fill the time, for a laugh. I never in a million years envisaged...even up until a few years ago I didn’t think it would get to the point it is now, it’s pretty weird to get my head around that.”
What’s the most embarrassing song on your workout playlist?
“I’ve got an eclectic mix of songs mate... I’m a massive like 80’s music fan so I've got some proper like dubious 80’s songs. I’ve got some Italian opera on there.”
Matt pulls out his phone to show us one of his go-to songs in the gym; “Con te partiro” by Andrea Bocelli.
How do you cope with haters/trolls?
Laughter is the best medicine for Matt when it comes to online trolls, even if they are few and far between.
